Jay Lundin, President of Oakmont Elevator, has been working on elevators, escalators and specialty lifts since 2004. His apprenticeship with Kone Elevator provided the opportunity to travel extensively in BC working with some of the best mechanics and engineers in the industry modernizing, servicing, troubleshooting, maintaining and installing elevators. After his elevator apprenticeship through CEIEP and completing a handful of new installations and service jobs as a certified elevator mechanic, Jay travelled and worked on elevators abroad. In 2011 Jay was promoted to the position of Local Representative for Kone Elevators in Kamloops BC, a position that he excelled at for the following 5 years. Jay then accepted an offer in 2016 with an independent company, working in northern BC and Alberta.
Oakmont Elevator was created in June of 2018 out of Jay's recognition of the need for a company that offers quality, craftsmanship and superior service along with competitive pricing.
